Kimberley French has been making photographs since she was seven, when her grandmother gave her a Kodak camera and her grandfather introduced her to his collection of National Geographic.
Today Kimberley is trusted by some of the most influential filmmakers and actors of our time. She has produced photography for Academy Award–winning films The Revenant, Jojo Rabbit, Brokeback Mountain, and The Assassination of Jesse James, earning her industry recognition and a reputation as a highly sought-after collaborator. Her work has appeared on film posters worldwide, including recent releases Die My Love, In the Blink of an Eye and Goodbye June. Her commercial work, meanwhile, includes an early Paris campaign with Leonardo DiCaprio for OPPO.
In 2016, a solo exhibition of Kimberley’s photographs from The Revenant opened at the Taschen Gallery ahead of the Academy Awards, followed by a limited-edition printing of The Revenant book. In June 2026, Insight Editions will publish a two-volume collector’s set: "The Revenant" and "The Making of The Revenant".
Kimberley’s fine art photography is collected internationally, and she has had four solo exhibitions: Surface, Surface Revisited, Returning, and Heath.
